Little Green Fingers is the blog of mother-of-three, Dawn Isaac. Once a Chelsea-award winning garden designer, Dawn now spends her days in rural Cambridgeshire, trying to pass on her love of gardening to her young family and retain her sanity in the face of daily domestic dramas and horticultural mishaps.
The blog covers everything related to children and gardening from running the local pre-school gardening club, growing flowers and produce that appeal to kids, designing a family garden, creative garden crafts, wildlife gardening ideas and even, when they’re organised enough to leave the house, visits with the children to other gardens.
Little Green Fingers is full of realistic and achievable ideas on how to interest kids in all things horticultural. It is also an honest, and hopefully entertaining, record of one mother’s attempts to share her own love of gardening with her three young children and help create the next generation of gardening addicts.
